  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to Dakota county; authorizing a demonstration 
  1.3             project to develop an enhanced automation system to 
  1.4             educate recipients on their health care options; 
  1.5             appropriating money. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [DEMONSTRATION PROJECT.] 
  1.8      Dakota county may implement a demonstration project to 
  1.9   develop an enhanced automation system to educate recipients on 
  1.10  their health care options.  This project may include a system 
  1.11  that combines interactive touch screen video, clinic maps, text 
  1.12  and audio both in multiple languages to assist clients in 
  1.13  selecting a managed health care provider.  The automated system 
  1.14  must be located in kiosks in the county. 
  1.15     Sec. 2.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.16     $100,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the 
  1.17  commissioner of health to make a grant to Dakota county for the 
  1.18  purposes of section 1. 
  1.19     Sec. 3.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.20     This act is effective the day following its final enactment.
