 relating to housing; appropriating money for nonprofit capacity building grants.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $845,000 in fiscal year 2020 and $845,000 in fiscal year 2021 are appropriated from the
general fund to the commissioner of housing finance for nonprofit capacity building grants
under Minnesota Statutes, section 462A.21, subdivision 3b. Of this amount, $300,000 each
year is for a statewide tenant hotline that provides free and confidential legal advice for all
Minnesota renters.
