  1.1                          A bill for an act
  1.2             relating to highways; designating portions of certain 
  1.3             highways as Victory Drive and Veterans Memorial 
  1.4             Highway; amending Minnesota Statutes 1994, section 
  1.5             161.14, by adding subdivisions. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 1994, section 161.14, is 
  1.8   amended by adding a subdivision to read: 
  1.9      Subd. 32.  [VICTORY DRIVE.] Marked trunk highway No. 22, 
  1.10  from its intersection with marked trunk highways No. 14 and 60 
  1.11  in the city of Mankato to its intersection with marked trunk 
  1.12  highway No. 30 in the city of Mapleton, is designated "Victory 
  1.13  Drive."  The commissioner of transportation shall adopt a 
  1.14  suitable design for marking this highway and shall erect 
  1.15  appropriate signs at locations the commissioner determines.  
  1.16     Sec. 2.  Minnesota Statutes 1994, section 161.14, is 
  1.17  amended by adding a subdivision to read: 
  1.18     Subd. 33.  [VETERANS MEMORIAL HIGHWAY.] Marked trunk 
  1.19  highway No. 15, from its intersection with marked trunk highway 
  1.20  No. 60 to its intersection with the Iowa border, is designated 
  1.21  "Veterans Memorial Highway."  The commissioner of transportation 
  1.22  shall adopt a suitable design for marking this highway and shall 
  1.23  erect appropriate signs at locations the commissioner determines.
  1.24     Sec. 3.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.25     Sections 1 and 2 are effective the day following final 
  2.1   enactment.
