A bill for an act
relating to agriculture; modifying noncommercial pesticide applicator fee for
certain licensees; amending Minnesota Statutes 2018, section 18B.34, subdivision
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Minnesota Statutes 2018, section 18B.34, subdivision 5, is amended to read:
(a) A person initially applying for or renewing a noncommercial applicator
license must pay a nonrefundable application fee of $50deleted text begin, except an applicant who is a
government or Conservation Corps Minnesota employee who uses pesticides in the course
of performing official duties must pay a nonrefundable application fee of $10deleted text end.

license is to be issued is subject to a penalty fee of 50 percent of the application fee. The
penalty fee must be paid before the renewal license may be issued.
