  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to human services; providing a rate increase 
  1.3             for two nursing facilities in Olmsted county; 
  1.4             appropriating money; amending Minnesota Statutes 2000, 
  1.5             section 256B.434, by adding a subdivision. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 2000, section 256B.434, is 
  1.8   amended by adding a subdivision to read: 
  1.9      Subd. 4c.  [FACILITY RATE INCREASES EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 
  1.10  2001.] For the rate year beginning July 1, 2001, the nursing 
  1.11  facilities described in clauses (1) and (2) shall receive an 
  1.12  increase in the case mix resident class A payment of $4.28 and 
  1.13  an increase in the payment rate for all other case mix classes 
  1.14  of that amount multiplied by the class weight for that case mix 
  1.15  class established in Minnesota Rules, part 9549.0058, subpart 3: 
  1.16     (1) a nursing facility in Olmsted county licensed for 122 
  1.17  beds; and 
  1.18     (2) a nursing facility in Olmsted county licensed for 116 
  1.19  beds. 
  1.20     The increases under this subdivision shall be added 
  1.21  following the determination under section 256B.431 of the 
  1.22  payment rate for the rate year beginning July 1, 2001, and shall 
  1.23  be included in the facilities' total payment rates for the 
  1.24  purposes of determining future rates under this section or any 
  1.25  other section. 
  2.1      Sec. 2.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  2.2      $....... is appropriated from the general fund to the 
  2.3   commissioner of human services for the biennium beginning July 
  2.4   1, 2001, for the purposes of section 1.
