A bill for an act
relating to driver's licenses; amending the time period for certain loss of driving
privileges due to a driving-related episode of loss of consciousness or voluntary
control; providing for rulemaking.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

new text begin (a) The commissioner of public safety must amend Minnesota Rules, part 7410.2610,
subpart 5a, item B, to establish a cancellation period of 30 days from the date of a
driving-related episode of loss of consciousness or voluntary control due to hypoglycemia
or hyperglycemia, when (1) the episode is the person's first driving-related episode, and (2)
the person reports the episode and provides a physician's statement as required under
Minnesota Rules, part 7410.2610, subparts 3 and 3a.

14.389, for rulemaking under paragraph (a).
