A bill for an act
relating to transportation; highways; designating Nicholas Patrick Spehar
Memorial Highway; amending Minnesota Statutes 2012, section 161.14, by
adding a subdivision.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2012, section 161.14, is amended by adding a
subdivision to read:

new text begin That segment of
Route No. 46, signed as U.S. Highway 8 on the effective date of this section, from the
interchange with signed U.S. Highway 61 in Forest Lake to the northeastern border of
Chisago City, is designated as "Nicholas Patrick Spehar Memorial Highway." Subject to
section 161.139, the commissioner shall adopt a suitable design to mark this highway and
erect appropriate signs.
