A bill for an act
 relating to capital investment; appropriating money for an addition to the HERO
Center in Cottage Grove.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin HERO CENTER ADDITION; COTTAGE GROVE.

new text begin $900,000 in fiscal year 2024 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of public safety for a grant to the city of Cottage Grove to predesign, design, construct,
furnish, and equip an addition to the HERO Center in the city of Cottage Grove for a mats
room for de-escalation training, officer wellness, and physical training. This appropriation
is available until the project is completed or abandoned, subject to Minnesota Statutes,
section 16A.642. This appropriation is onetime and is available until expended subject to
Minnesota Statutes, section 16A.642.
