  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to education funding; authorizing special 
  1.3             assessment costs to be included in debt service 
  1.4             equalization revenue for certain school districts. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS.] 
  1.7      Independent school district No. 477, Princeton, and 
  1.8   independent school district No. 51, Foley, may include the 
  1.9   amounts necessary to pay special assessments in their debt 
  1.10  service equalization revenue under Minnesota Statutes 1998, 
  1.11  section 123B.53. 
  1.12     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.13     Section 1 is effective for taxes payable in 2000 and later.
