  1.1                          A bill for an act
  1.2             relating to the legislature; abolishing the 
  1.3             legislative commission on planning and fiscal policy, 
  1.4             the legislative commission on the economic status of 
  1.5             women, the legislative commission on health care 
  1.6             access, and the electric energy task force; reducing 
  1.7             an appropriation; repealing Minnesota Statutes 1994, 
  1.8             sections 3.885; 3.9222; and 62J.07; Minnesota Statutes 
  1.9             1995 Supplement, section 216C.051, subdivisions 5 and 
  1.10            6. 
  1.11  BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.12     Section 1.  [LEGISLATIVE COORDINATING COMMISSION.] 
  1.13     The statutory functions and duties, if any, of a commission 
  1.14  or task force eliminated by section 2 may be performed, as 
  1.15  determined necessary, by the legislative coordinating 
  1.16  commission.  The appropriation to the legislative coordinating 
  1.17  commission by Laws 1995, chapter 254, article 1, section 2, 
  1.18  subdivision 4, is reduced by the amount budgeted for the costs 
  1.19  of the abolished commissions on planning and fiscal policy and 
  1.20  on the economic status of women.  
  1.21     Sec. 2.  [REPEALER.] 
  1.22     Minnesota Statutes 1994, sections 3.885; 3.9222; and 
  1.23  62J.07; Minnesota Statutes 1995 Supplement, section 216C.051, 
  1.24  subdivisions 5 and 6, are repealed. 
  1.25     Sec. 3.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.26     Sections 1 and 2 are effective July 1, 1996.
