1.1 A bill for an act 1.2 relating to manufactured homes; adding certain 1.3 conditions for park owners to recover possession of 1.4 land; amending Minnesota Statutes 1994, section 1.5 327C.09, subdivision 8. 1.6 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1.7 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 1994, section 327C.09, 1.8 subdivision 8, is amended to read: 1.9 Subd. 8. [IMPROVEMENTS.] The park owner has specific plans 1.10 to make improvements to the park premises which will 1.11 substantially benefit the health and safety of the residents or 1.12 have been ordered by a government agency, and which necessitate 1.13 removal of the resident's manufactured home from the park. The 1.14 park owner must give the resident 90 days written notice and 1.15 include in that notice a statement identifying how the 1.16 improvements will substantially benefit the health and safety of 1.17 the residents. If another lot is available in the park, the 1.18 park owner must allow the resident to relocate the home to that 1.19 lot unless the home, because of its size or local ordinance, is 1.20 not compatible with that lot.
