A bill for an act
relating to youth homelessness; appropriating money
for at risk youth out-of-wedlock pregnancy prevention
program.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION.

new text begin (a) $1,200,000 in fiscal year 2006 and $1,200,000 in fiscal
year 2007 are appropriated from the Temporary Assistance to
Needy Families (TANF) block grant to the commissioner of human
services for at risk youth out-of-wedlock pregnancy prevention
grants under Minnesota Statutes, section 256K.35. A minimum of
35 percent of these grant funds must be awarded to eligible
applicants located outside of Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin,
Ramsey, Scott, and Washington Counties.

new text begin (b) This appropriation is in addition to any other
appropriations for this purpose and must be added to the base
appropriation beginning in fiscal year 2008.

available in the second year.
