relating to energy; appropriating money for a solar photovoltaic project.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; NEIGHBORHOOD SOLAR ELECTRICITY
DEMONSTRATION PROJECT.

new text begin $....... is appropriated from State Energy Program funds received by the Office of
Energy Security under the federal American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009,
Public Law 111-5, to the commissioner of commerce for a grant to a community-based
organization that is experienced in developing renewable energy projects for the purpose
of planning, managing, and implementing a project that delivers up to one megawatt of
electricity from on-site photovoltaic devices to several buildings in a single neighborhood
in Minnesota.
