  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to education; extending the debt service aid 
  1.3             grant to independent school district No. 233, 
  1.4             Preston-Fountain and independent school district No. 
  1.5             228, Harmony; amending Laws 1995, First Special 
  1.6             Session chapter 3, article 5, section 20, subdivision 
  1.7             7. 
  1.8   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.9      Section 1.  Laws 1995, First Special Session chapter 3, 
  1.10  article 5, section 20, subdivision 7, is amended to read: 
  1.11     Subd. 7.  [PRESTON-FOUNTAIN; HARMONY DISTRICT.] For a grant 
  1.12  to the new school district comprised of independent school 
  1.13  district No. 233, Preston-Fountain, and independent school 
  1.14  district No. 228, Harmony: 
  1.15          $70,000     .....     1996 
  1.16          $70,000     .....     1997 
  1.17     This grant These grants must be placed in the district's 
  1.18  debt redemption fund.  The department must reduce the new 
  1.19  district debt service levy levies by this amount these amounts.
