  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to insurance; prohibiting automobile glass 
  1.3             companies from waiving insurance deductibles or 
  1.4             providing rebates, discounts, or other incentives for 
  1.5             glass repair; amending Minnesota Statutes 1994, 
  1.6             section 65B.134. 
  1.7   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.8      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 1994, section 65B.134, is 
  1.9   amended to read: 
  1.10     65B.134 [COMPREHENSIVE COVERAGE; GLASS BREAKAGE.] 
  1.11     Any policy of automobile insurance, as defined in section 
  1.12  65B.14, subdivision 2, providing comprehensive coverage, whether 
  1.13  designated as such or included in a policy providing broader 
  1.14  coverage, must provide at the option of the insured complete 
  1.15  coverage for repair or replacement of all damaged safety glass 
  1.16  without regard to any deductible or minimum amount.  No 
  1.17  automobile glass company or location may waive insurance 
  1.18  deductibles or offer rebates, discounts, or other incentives for 
  1.19  automobile glass repair which is being reimbursed by insurance.
