  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to appropriations; appropriating money for 
  1.3             managed grazing systems. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION; BOARD OF WATER AND SOIL 
  1.6   RESOURCES.] 
  1.7      $100,000 is appropriated from the general fund in each year 
  1.8   of the 2002-2003 biennium to the board of water and soil 
  1.9   resources for at least two additional grazing land specialists 
  1.10  to provide technical assistance to farmers and ranchers to 
  1.11  establish and enhance managed grazing systems.  This 
  1.12  appropriation is contingent on the availability of matching 
  1.13  funds from nonstate sources. 
  1.14     $250,000 is appropriated from the general fund in each year 
  1.15  of the 2002-2003 biennium to the board of water and soil 
  1.16  resources for cost-share grants to assist farmers and ranchers 
  1.17  with the installation of managed grazing system practices.
