  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to health; permitting the use of radiographic 
  1.3             absorptionmetry for the diagnosis and management of 
  1.4             osteoporosis. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [RULE CHANGE; RADIOGRAPHIC ABSORPTIONMETRY.] 
  1.7      The commissioner of health shall amend Minnesota Rules, 
  1.8   part 4730.1210, subpart 2, item G, to permit the use of direct 
  1.9   exposure x-ray film in radiographic absorptionmetry for the 
  1.10  diagnosis and management of osteoporosis.  The commissioner may 
  1.11  use the rulemaking procedures under Minnesota Statutes, section 
  1.12  14.388.
