relating to health; awarding a grant for diabetes prevention and education;
appropriating money.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; DIABETES PREVENTION AND EDUCATION.

new text begin $....... is appropriated in the biennium ending June 30, 2017, from the general fund
to the commissioner of health for a grant to be divided equally between the Association
of Minnesota Public Educational Radio Stations and Twin Cities Public Television for
a prevention and education program targeting those at highest risk for diabetes. The
program must target underserved and underrepresented communities, including, but not
limited to, Native American, African American, Latino/Hispanic, rural Minnesota, and
African and Asian immigrants.
