1.2relating to health; appropriating money for evaluation of point of use water
1.3treatment.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. APPROPRIATION; WATER TREATMENT.
1.6$593,000 is appropriated in the fiscal year beginning the day after final enactment
1.7from the remediation fund to the commissioner of health to conduct an evaluation of point
1.8of use water treatment units at removing perfluorooctanoic acid, perfluorooctane sulfonate,
1.9and perfluorobutanoic acid from known concentrations of these compounds in drinking
1.10water. The evaluation shall be completed by December 31, 2007, and the commissioner
1.11may contract for services to complete the evaluation.
1.12EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.
