A bill for an act
relating to economic development; Destination Medical Center; providing
restrictions for certain use of city funds; amending Minnesota Statutes 2014,
section 469.43, by adding a subdivision.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2014, section 469.43, is amended by adding a
subdivision to read:

agency.

new text begin The nonprofit economic development agency shall not require the city to pay
any amounts to the nonprofit economic development agency that are unrelated to public
infrastructure project costs.

new text begin This section is effective after the governing body of the city
of Rochester and its chief clerical officer timely comply with Minnesota Statutes, section
645.021, subdivisions 2 and 3, and applies retroactively from June 22, 2013.
