A bill for an act
 relating to employment; appropriating money for a grant to a nonprofit
organization to work on behalf of licensed vendors to coordinate responses to
solicitations or other requests and to increase employment opportunities for
persons with disabilities.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

new text begin $200,000 is appropriated from the general fund in fiscal year 2008 to the
commissioner of employment and economic development for a grant to a nonprofit
organization. The nonprofit organization would work on behalf of all licensed vendors
to coordinate their efforts to respond to solicitations or other requests from private and
governmental units as defined in Minnesota Statutes, section 471.59, subdivision 1, in
order to increase employment opportunities for persons with disabilities.
