  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to state lands; authorizing private or public 
  1.3             sale of certain tax-forfeited land that borders public 
  1.4             water and wetland in Todd county. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [PRIVATE SALE OF TAX-FORFEITED LAND BORDERING 
  1.7   PUBLIC WATER AND WETLAND; TODD COUNTY.] 
  1.8      (a) Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, sections 92.45 and 
  1.9   282.018, and the public sale provisions of Minnesota Statutes, 
  1.10  chapter 282, Todd county may sell by private sale the 
  1.11  tax-forfeited land bordering public water or wetland that is 
  1.12  described in paragraph (c), under the remaining provisions of 
  1.13  Minnesota Statutes, chapter 282.  
  1.14     (b) The conveyances must be in a form approved by the 
  1.15  attorney general. 
  1.16     (c) The land to be conveyed is located in Todd county and 
  1.17  is described as:

  3.25     (d) The county has determined that the county's land 
  3.26  management interests would best be served if the lands were 
  3.27  returned to private ownership. 
  3.28     Sec. 2.  [PUBLIC SALE ALTERNATIVE.] 
  3.29     Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, sections 92.45 and 
  3.30  282.018, Todd county may sell any of the land described in 
  3.31  section 1, paragraph (c), by public sale under the remaining 
  3.32  provisions of Minnesota Statutes, chapter 282, if the county 
  3.33  does not sell the land by private sale.
