  1.1                          A bill for an act
  1.2             relating to highway traffic regulations; restricting 
  1.3             operation of grain carts on public streets and 
  1.4             highways; requiring certain information on new grain 
  1.5             carts; proposing coding for new law in Minnesota 
  1.6             Statutes, chapter 169. 
  1.7   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.8      Section 1.  [169.5221] [GRAIN CARTS; RESTRICTIONS; REQUIRED 
  1.9   INFORMATION.] 
  1.10     Subdivision 1.  [DEFINITION.] For purposes of this section, 
  1.11  "grain cart" means a vehicle, whether registered or otherwise, 
  1.12  designed and manufactured exclusively for collection and 
  1.13  transportation of grain in the field during harvest operations. 
  1.14     Subd. 2.  [RESTRICTION.] No person may operate a grain cart 
  1.15  on a street or highway when it is carrying any load unless the 
  1.16  grain cart is being used for spot loading trucks on the street 
  1.17  or highway during inclement weather. 
  1.18     Subd. 3.  [INFORMATION REQUIRED.] No person may sell a new 
  1.19  grain cart unless the grain cart has permanently affixed to the 
  1.20  front a sticker in legible type that substantially states the 
  1.21  restriction on its use imposed under subdivision 2.
