  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to the city of Brooklyn Center; extending 
  1.3             time to expend tax increments. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [EXTENSION OF TIME TO EXPEND TAX INCREMENT.] 
  1.6      Notwithstanding any contrary provision of law or charter, 
  1.7   for tax increment financing district number 3, established on 
  1.8   December 19, 1994, by Brooklyn Center Resolution No. 94-273, 
  1.9   Minnesota Statutes, section 469.1763, subdivision 3, applies to 
  1.10  the district by permitting a period of 13 years for commencement 
  1.11  of activities within the district. 
  1.12     [EFFECTIVE DATE.] This section is effective upon approval 
  1.13  by the governing body of the city of Brooklyn Center and 
  1.14  compliance with Minnesota Statutes, section 645.021, subdivision 
  1.15  3.
