  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to railroads; authorizing the city of Ranier 
  1.3             to prohibit the parking of running railroad 
  1.4             locomotives within the city. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [CITY OF RANIER; ORDINANCE AUTHORIZED.] 
  1.7      The city of Ranier may by ordinance prohibit the parking 
  1.8   within the city of any railroad locomotive while the 
  1.9   locomotive's engine is running. 
  1.10     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.11     Section 1 is effective the day after the certificate of 
  1.12  approval of the Ranier city council is filed in compliance with 
  1.13  Minnesota Statutes, section 645.021, subdivision 3.
