A bill for an act
relating to economic development; appropriating money
to fund summer youth employment in North Minneapolis.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION.

$1,920,000 in fiscal year 2006 and $1,920,000 in fiscal
year 2007 are appropriated from the general fund to the
commissioner of employment and economic development for grants
to fund summer youth employment in North Minneapolis. The
grants shall be used to fund up to 500 jobs for youth each
summer. The commissioner shall establish criteria for awarding
the grants.
