  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to the city of Hibbing; authorizing the use 
  1.3             of tax increments. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [CITY OF HIBBING; TAX INCREMENT FINANCING 
  1.6   DISTRICT.] 
  1.7      Notwithstanding any law to the contrary, the city of 
  1.8   Hibbing or the Hibbing economic development authority may use 
  1.9   tax increments derived from tax increment financing district No. 
  1.10  1 to elect that the district is subject to Minnesota Statutes, 
  1.11  section 469.1763, subdivisions 1 and 2. 
  1.12     Sec. 2.  [LOCAL APPROVAL.] 
  1.13     Section 1 is effective upon compliance with Minnesota 
  1.14  Statutes, section 645.021, subdivision 3.
