A bill for an act
relating to natural resources; requiring a feasibility study on augmenting White
Bear Lake water levels with treated wastewater.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

new text begin The commissioner of natural resources, in cooperation with the commissioners of
the Pollution Control Agency and health, the Public Facilities Authority, and local units
of government shall conduct a study and report to the legislature on the feasibility of
constructing a wastewater treatment facility for communities surrounding White Bear
Lake that will provide treated wastewater to be used to augment water levels in White
Bear Lake. The commissioner shall submit the report to the chairs and ranking minority
members of the committees and divisions with jurisdiction over environment and natural
resources finance and policy no later than December 15, 2013.
