  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to local government; authorizing the city of 
  1.3             Sauk Centre to determine the number of members of the 
  1.4             public utilities commission. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [CITY OF SAUK CENTRE; UTILITIES COMMISSION; 
  1.7   MEMBERSHIP.] 
  1.8      Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, section 412.341, or any 
  1.9   other law to the contrary, the governing body of the city of 
  1.10  Sauk Centre may, by ordinance, establish the number of members 
  1.11  of the public utilities commission, without any limitation. 
  1.12     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.13     Section 1 takes effect the day after the city of Sauk 
  1.14  Centre complies with Minnesota Statutes, section 645.021, 
  1.15  subdivision 3.
