BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

appropriated from the general fund to the Department of Education for the fiscal years

new text begin (b) Grant funds must be used to encourage secondary school students to pursue teaching,
including through postsecondary enrollment courses offered in accordance with Minnesota
Statutes, section 124D.09, provide tuition scholarships or stipends to students pursuing
education degrees and teaching licenses, and implement a teacher residency program.

new text begin (c) Grant funds under this subdivision must be matched by funding from a nonstate
source.
