  1.2             relating to education; providing for declining pupil 
  1.3             unit aid for independent school district No. 508, St. 
  1.4             Peter. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [FISCAL YEARS 2000 TO 2002 DECLINING PUPIL UNIT 
  1.7   AID; ST. PETER.] 
  1.8      Subdivision 1.  [FISCAL YEAR 2000.] For fiscal year 2000 
  1.9   only, independent school district No. 508, St. Peter, is 
  1.10  eligible for declining pupil unit aid equal to the product of 
  1.11  the general education formula allowance for fiscal year 2000 
  1.12  times 75 percent of the difference between the district's actual 
  1.13  pupil units for the 1996-1997 school year and the district's 
  1.14  actual pupil units for the 1999-2000 school year. 
  1.15     Subd. 2.  [FISCAL YEAR 2001.] For fiscal year 2001 only, 
  1.16  independent school district No. 508, St. Peter, is eligible for 
  1.17  declining pupil unit aid equal to the product of the general 
  1.18  education formula allowance for fiscal year 2001 times 50 
  1.19  percent of the difference between the district's actual pupil 
  1.20  units for the 1996-1997 school year and the district's actual 
  1.21  pupil units for the 2000-2001 school year. 
  1.22     Subd. 3.  [FISCAL YEAR 2002.] For fiscal year 2002 only, 
  1.23  independent school district No. 508, St. Peter, is eligible for 
  1.24  declining pupil unit aid equal to the product of the general 
  1.25  education formula allowance for fiscal year 2002 times 25 
  2.1   percent of the difference between the district's actual pupil 
  2.2   units for the 1996-1997 school year and the district's actual 
  2.3   pupil units for the 2001-2002 school year.
