A bill for an act
relating to natural resources; appropriating money for electric fish barriers.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin ELECTRIC FISH BARRIERS; APPROPRIATIONS.

new text begin $....... is appropriated in fiscal year 2012 to the commissioner of natural resources
from the outdoor heritage fund to install electric fish barriers, using the most modern
technology available for fish dispersal systems, to address the imminent threat posed to
Minnesota's lakes and rivers by Asian carp. The commissioner may transfer unexpended
money from any of the projects in clauses (1) to (3) to any of the other projects in clauses
(1) to (3). The appropriation is available until March 1, 2013, at which time the projects
listed in clauses (1) to (3) must be completed. Of this amount:
