  1.2             relating to appropriations; appropriating money for 
  1.3             the operation and maintenance of the metropolitan 
  1.4             regional parks system. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.7      $4,950,000 in fiscal year 2000 and $4,950,000 in fiscal 
  1.8   year 2001 are appropriated to the department of natural 
  1.9   resources for payment of a grant to the metropolitan council for 
  1.10  the metropolitan area regional parks maintenance and operation.
