A bill for an act
relating to railroads; establishing speed limit of 30
miles per hour for trains operated within the city of
Orr.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin MAXIMUM SPEED IN CITY OF ORR.

new text begin In order to eliminate or reduce local safety hazards, a
railway corporation may not permit a train to be operated at a
speed in excess of 30 miles per hour while any portion of the
engine or train is within the limits of the city of Orr in St.
Louis County.

Sec. 2. new text begin EFFECTIVE DATE; LOCAL APPROVAL.

new text begin Section 1 is effective the day after the governing body of
the city of Orr and its chief clerical officer comply with
Minnesota Statutes, section 645.021, subdivisions 2 and 3.
