A bill for an act
relating to agriculture; appropriating money for
sustainable agriculture grants.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE
GRANTS.

new text begin $200,000 in fiscal year 2006 and $200,000 in fiscal year
2007 are appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of agriculture for grants to farmers for demonstration projects
involving sustainable agriculture as authorized in Minnesota
Statutes, section 17.116. Up to $20,000 of the amount
appropriated in each year may be used for dissemination of
information about the demonstration projects.
