  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to appropriations; appropriating money for 
  1.3             travel information facilities in the upper Minnesota 
  1.4             valley. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.7      $350,000 is appropriated from the general fund for the 
  1.8   biennium ending June 30, 2003, to the commissioner of trade and 
  1.9   economic development for a grant to the upper Minnesota valley 
  1.10  regional development commission.  This grant is for site 
  1.11  acquisition, planning, design, architecture, engineering, 
  1.12  construction, and site development for one travel information 
  1.13  center or one or more travel information kiosks, or both, to be 
  1.14  located within Region 6W in support of the Minnesota river 
  1.15  tourism initiative.
