A bill for an act
relating to transportation; regulating railroad common carriers; protecting
employee safety at a certain roadway intersection.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin RAILROAD COMMON CARRIER; EMPLOYEE SAFETY; STATE
HIGHWAY 28 AND STATE HIGHWAY 55.

new text begin No railroad common carrier shall permit, direct, or require as an expectation
of employment, an employee who is subject to occupancy at that common carrier's
contract lodging facility during an away-from-home service tour of railroad operation or
maintenance for that carrier, to walk on any area of the public roadway or roadway's
easement land at the intersection and overpass of State Highway 28 and State Highway
55, in Pope County.
