A bill for an act
relating to taxation; local government aids; providing an aid penalty forgiveness
to certain cities.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin 2019 AID PENALTY FORGIVENESS.

new text begin Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, section 477A.017, subdivision 3, the city of
Roosevelt shall receive its aid payment for calendar year 2019 under Minnesota Statutes,
section 477A.013, that was withheld under Minnesota Statutes, section 477A.017, subdivision
3, provided that the state auditor certifies to the commissioner of revenue that it received
the annual financial reporting form for 2018 from the city as well as all forms, including
the audited financial statement for calendar year 2019 by June 20, 2021. The commissioner
of revenue shall make a payment of $24,410 by June 30, 2021.
