A bill for an act
relating to transportation; appropriating money for electric vehicle supply
equipment.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; ELECTRIC VEHICLE SUPPLY EQUIPMENT.

new text begin $8,000,000 in fiscal year 2020 is appropriated from the general fund to the Department
of Transportation to install public electric vehicle supply equipment throughout the state.
No more than 40 percent of the appropriation may be used for equipment installation within
the seven-county metropolitan area. No more than ten percent of the appropriation may be
devoted to equipment with a maximum charging capability of less than 150 kilowatts.
