relating to state agencies; prohibiting certain grants and loans; proposing coding
for new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 16A.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

ENTITIES.

new text begin (a) Except where explicitly authorized by law, no grant or loan of state funds may
be made by a state agency to any entity a majority of whose revenue is derived from a
political committee, political fund, principal campaign committee, or political party unit,
as defined in section 10A.01.

new text begin (b) An entity applying for a grant or loan of state funds must certify in the application
that it is in compliance with the requirements of paragraph (a).
