A bill for an act
 relating to education finance; authorizing
transportation aid for school districts that provide
full-day, every day kindergarten; amending Minnesota
Statutes 2004, section 123B.92, by adding a
subdivision.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2004, section 123B.92, is
amended by adding a subdivision to read:

kindergarten.new text end

new text begin A school district is eligible for full-day
kindergarten pupil transportation aid. The aid amount equals
the number of full-day kindergarten pupils transported for that
year times the district's actual expenditures per pupil
transported in the regular transportation category in the second
preceding year.
