  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to public safety; restoring funding to the 
  1.3             criminal gang strike force; appropriating money. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION; GANG STRIKE FORCE GRANTS.] 
  1.6      $1,500,000 is appropriated in fiscal year 2005 from the 
  1.7   general fund to the commissioner of public safety for gang 
  1.8   strike force grants under Minnesota Statutes, section 299A.66.  
  1.9   This appropriation is in addition to any amounts appropriated in 
  1.10  Laws 2003, First Special Session chapter 2, article 1, section 9.
  1.11     [EFFECTIVE DATE.] This section is effective July 1, 2004.
