  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to capital improvements; appropriating money 
  1.3             to renovate a building owned by the city of Ely. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [CITY OF ELY BUILDING RENOVATION.] 
  1.6      $200,000 is appropriated in fiscal year 1999 from the 
  1.7   general fund to the commissioner of administration for a grant 
  1.8   to the city of Ely to renovate the building owned by the city of 
  1.9   Ely and scheduled to be vacated by the department of revenue in 
  1.10  early fall 1999.  The renovations may include the roof, loading 
  1.11  docks for both the upper and lower levels, and a sprinkler 
  1.12  system.  The appropriation does not lapse but is available in 
  1.13  the following fiscal year. 
  1.14     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.15     This act is effective the day following final enactment.
