  1.1                          A bill for an act
  1.2             relating to public administration; amending certain 
  1.3             conditions relating to spending authorizations; 
  1.4             amending Laws 1996, chapter 463, section 13, 
  1.5             subdivision 4. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  Laws 1996, chapter 463, section 13, subdivision 
  1.8   4, is amended to read: 
  1.9   Subd. 4.  Renovate Capitol
  1.10  Building                                              7,400,000
  1.11  $4,800,000 $3,765,000 is to predesign, 
  1.12  design, and reconstruct begin 
  1.13  reconstruction of the northeast and 
  1.14  northwest terraces of the capitol 
  1.15  building.  
  1.16  $1,400,000 is to renovate the lantern 
  1.17  and related structures on the capitol 
  1.18  dome. 
  1.19  $1,200,000 $2,235,000 is to predesign, 
  1.20  design, construct, furnish, and equip 
  1.21  the renovation of the capitol cafeteria 
  1.22  and related spaces.  
  1.23  The balance of the appropriation in 
  1.24  this subdivision that is not needed for 
  1.25  the projects specified may be used for 
  1.26  other structural stabilization projects 
  1.27  at the capitol or to improve the 
  1.28  capitol mall. 
  1.29     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.30     Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
