  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to capital improvements; authorizing spending 
  1.3             to acquire and to better public land and buildings and 
  1.4             other public improvements of a capital nature for the 
  1.5             Minnesota state colleges and universities; 
  1.6             appropriating money. 
  1.7   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.8      Section 1.  [MINNESOTA STATE COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES.] 
  1.9      Subdivision 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] The sums in the column 
  1.10  under "APPROPRIATIONS" totaling $15,300,000 are appropriated 
  1.11  from the bond proceeds fund to the board of trustees of the 
  1.12  Minnesota state colleges and universities, to be spent for 
  1.13  public purposes including to acquire and to better public land 
  1.14  and buildings and other public improvements of a capital nature, 
  1.15  as specified in this act.  
  1.16                                                   APPROPRIATIONS

  1.18  Subd. 2.  Ridgewater Community and

  1.21  boiler/chiller system. 
  1.22  Subd. 3.  Higher Education

  1.24  (a) Upgrade and replacement of
  1.25  underground and aboveground
  1.26  storage tanks                       2,500,000
  1.27  (b) Roof replacement                5,600,000
  1.28     Sec. 2.  [BOND SALE.] 
  2.1      To provide the money appropriated in this act from the bond 
  2.2   proceeds fund, the commissioner of finance, on request of the 
  2.3   governor, shall sell and issue bonds of the state in an amount 
  2.4   up to $15,300,000 in the manner, upon the terms, and with the 
  2.5   effect prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 
  2.6   16A.675, and by the Minnesota Constitution, article XI, sections 
  2.7   4 to 7.  
  2.8      Sec. 3.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  2.9      This act is effective the day after its final enactment.
