  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to agriculture; providing additional funding 
  1.3             for research on wheat and barley scab disease; 
  1.4             appropriating money. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION; WHEAT AND BARLEY SCAB.] 
  1.7      $1,600,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the 
  1.8   commissioner of agriculture for a grant to the University of 
  1.9   Minnesota for purposes of conducting further research and field 
  1.10  studies on wheat and barley scab disease.  This appropriation is 
  1.11  in addition to other funding for similar purposes and is 
  1.12  available during either fiscal year of the biennium ending June 
  1.13  30, 2001.
