  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to agriculture; appropriating money for 
  1.3             family farm advocates and agriculture information 
  1.4             centers; appropriating money.  
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.7      Subdivision 1.  [FAMILY FARM ADVOCATES.] $300,000 is 
  1.8   appropriated in fiscal year 2000 and $300,000 is appropriated in 
  1.9   fiscal year 2001 from the general fund to the commissioner of 
  1.10  agriculture for the family farm advocacy program. 
  1.11     Subd. 2.  [AGRICULTURE INFORMATION CENTERS.] $200,000 is 
  1.12  appropriated in fiscal year 2000 and $200,000 is appropriated in 
  1.13  fiscal year 2001 from the general fund to the commissioner of 
  1.14  agriculture for grants to agriculture information centers on a 
  1.15  matching basis.  The funds may be released at the rate of $4 of 
  1.16  state money for each $1 of matching nonstate money that is 
  1.17  raised.
