  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to appropriations; appropriating money for 
  1.3             the St. Paul port authority to remove blight around 
  1.4             the Trout Brook area. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.7      $4,500,000 is appropriated to the department of trade and 
  1.8   economic development for a grant to the port authority of the 
  1.9   city of St. Paul for the removal of blight by property 
  1.10  acquisition, site preparation, and redevelopment activities on 
  1.11  and around the Trout Brook area in the city of St. Paul.  This 
  1.12  grant is available to the port authority upon the commissioner's 
  1.13  review and determination that the use of these funds meets the 
  1.14  purposes of either the contamination cleanup grant program or 
  1.15  the redevelopment fund.  These funds are available to the port 
  1.16  authority until expended.
