A bill for an act
relating to drivers' licenses; prohibiting commissioner of public safety from
complying with Real ID Act.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin NONCOMPLIANCE WITH REAL ID ACT.

new text begin In order to promote the security and well-being of the people of Minnesota, to avoid
unneeded expense to the people, and to preserve the principles of federalism embodied in
the Tenth Amendment to the United States Constitution, the commissioner of public safety
is prohibited from taking any action to implement or to plan for the implementation by
this state of those sections of Public Law 109-13 known as the Real ID Act.
