  1.1                          A bill for an act
  1.2             relating to education; appropriating money for adults 
  1.3             with disabilities. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATIONS.] 
  1.6      Subdivision 1.  [DEPARTMENT OF CHILDREN, FAMILIES, AND 
  1.7   LEARNING.] The sums indicated in this section are appropriated 
  1.8   from the general fund to the department of children, families, 
  1.9   and learning for the fiscal years designated. 
  1.10     Subd. 2.  [ADULTS WITH DISABILITIES PROGRAM AID.] For 
  1.11  adults with disabilities programs according to Minnesota 
  1.12  Statutes, section 124.2715: 
  1.13       $790,000     .......     1998 
  1.14       $690,000     .......     1999 
  1.15     Any balance in the first year does not cancel but is 
  1.16  available for the second year. 
  1.17     Of the 1998 appropriation, up to $100,000 may be used to 
  1.18  start programs in five regions of the state that currently have 
  1.19  no programs for adults with disabilities.
